I taught English and Social Studies for 7 years in Nebraska, China, and Chicago and recently finished my master's in Learning Design and Technology at Stanford. At Stanford, my work focused on the intersection of writing instruction, formative assessment, and peer feedback. I now work full-time on Short Answer, a cross-curricular writing tool my wife and I began building as my master's capstone project. As a part of my work with Short Answer, I lead workshops with schools across the world focused on adjusting K12 writing instruction and assessment in the wake of AI.
